FREE TRAINING

Great Hudson’s goal is to have you to be totally at ease in your new boat, and so, uniquely among dealerships, and at no charge, we provide 20 hours of detailed, hands-on instruction on your new boat by one of our very experienced U.S. Coast Guard licensed captains. You will become thoroughly familiar with all of your new boat’s gear, equipment and her handling capabilites.

50% SAVINGS ON NEW JERSEY SALES TAX

Great Hudson is a member of the Jersey City Urban Economic Zone (U.E.Z.). This means that if you buy your new boat through our New York Harbor office in Jersey City, and are a New Jersey resident, or, if you homeport your new boat at one of the marinas in Jersey City, then we are able to charge you only 50% of the usual sales tax ... i.e. 3.5% instead of 7%. A very worthwhile saving ! ... and one which also applies to any pre-owned boat, of any manufacturer, that we have taken in on trade for a new Beneteau !

FRACTIONAL OWNERSHIP

If full 100% ownership is not in the cards for you at the moment, then please think about Beneteau’s innovative Fractional Sailing program … the pleasure of sailing a new boat at only 25% of the cost, and with no maintenance or management. Great Hudson looks after your boat for you, and the on-line scheduling program gives you maximum flexibilit y and multiple permutations for using your boat up to 21 times per month.

SAILING SCHOOL

Great Hudson’s Sailing School is an American Sailing Association affiliate, and has been in operation for three decades. Thousands of graduates are now sailing worldwide.

  • Our comprehensive classes run all the way from Basic Sailing and Basic Coastal Cruising … thru Coastal Navigation to Radar Endorsement.
  • We are flexible. Private lessons can be arranged if our classes don’t fit your schedule.

MENTOR SAILING

  • Basic Sailing graduates can return to sail on one of our Beneteau First 235's with an instructor for more on-the-water experience.
  • Coastal Cruising graduates can sail our Beneteau 285, with an instructor, on your schedule. Friends and family ( up to four passengers ) are invited to join you.

THE EXTRA MILE

Great Hudson goes the extra mile. Our technicians will travel to your boat, within a given radius, to deal with any warranty items that may crop up, install new equipment, and so on. Not all dealers go to this above-and-beyond level of care that we do. It’s just another of those Great Hudson touches that assures you that extra level of comfort with your new boat.

LONG ESTABLISHED

Great Hudson Sailing School started in 1978.We became a Beneteau dealer in 1986, and our New York Harbor office opened in Jersey City in 2006.
